An open letter to Mr. Thomas Campbell, Author of My Big TOE Trilogy
Dear Mr. Campbell,
It is my most sincere desire that this letter comes to your attention. I would like to start out by stating that your trilogy, My Big TOE, has had a profound impact on my awareness and my comprehension of my own individuated consciousness, as well as my daily practice to evolve. A few years ago, I purchased the audio version of your trilogy and began listening to it immediately. My friend and I listened through the entire tome multiple times. We were immensely impressed with the content. But, I must admit, the topic that we were most impressed with, and were most interested in, was your elucidation of the evolution of consciousness. So, about three years ago, I set out to draw out those parts of the trilogy which seemed most immediately related to that subject. Mind you, I completely understand that, most probably, your intent throughout the entire trilogy, and every subject covered in it, is to give a greater and greater perspective or paradigm of consciousness and its evolution, and to expand our awareness of the “greater reality.” Yet, I know, for myself, and others, that your discussions of cosmology and beyond, the origins of time and consciousness, multiple dimensions, out of body experiences, among others, will keep many from appreciating the topics that they can much more easily comprehend, and thus appreciate, and thus actually utilized and practice, revolve specifically around what is consciousness, that it is evolving, and that each of us must take responsibility for and control of evolving our own individuated consciousness. Just imagine what affect your presentations on belief traps alone could have on the global awareness and consciousness if they, by themselves, became part of our common and daily discourse.
Throughout this process of drawing out the specific material revolving around consciousness evolution, i.e., abridging your trilogy, for the sole purpose of providing a comprehensive study guide for that material, I followed the trilogy that you posted as a free access point, for anyone to read, and set up twenty-four sections. Each section is approximately a thirty-minute read.
My friends and I spent the past two years taking one section at a time, for a month at a time. We read or listened to that section every day. At the end of the month, we each prepared and presented a one-page paper on how that specific section affected us.
Let me tell you that upon listening to the entire trilogy multiple times, I was left very impressed, and it gave me much to consider. But I must also tell you that in following this regimen of taking a section of the abridged version for concentrated focus daily, every section literally “blew us away” with one paradigm shift after another, as became evident in our monthly papers.
And so, after compiling and completing the two year “course,” I decided that it might be helpful to others to have a study guide of this nature available to them. That is the purpose of this website. I will not, and do not expect ever to receive any remuneration in any form from this website or my work in the abridged version of your trilogy. As you can see from the website, it specifically points to your website, where they should go to purchase My Big TOE, or to the free link you provided us, and read it in its entirety, either before or after they utilize this study guide.
Finally, it is my sincere hope that you will respond to this open letter, and approve this study guide, this abridged version of your trilogy, specifically and only as a study guide to the topics of consciousness and its evolution. Prior to this, I have tried multiple times and ways to contact you regarding this study guide, but have been pushed away by others.
