On a separate note, at times this abridged version of Thomas Campbell’s My Big TOE may seem disjointed, and even present sentences that begin in the middle of a sentence from the original source, or have no punctuation at their end. The sole purpose of this abridgment is to remain as focused as possible to the subject at hand, consciousness evolution, and in that, we think, in total, it remains true. We could not, and did not change sentence structure or punctuation for clarity, and remain true to the actual text of the trilogy.
Below are a series of suggestions of processes that turned out to be very helpful to us, and so they may be helpful to you.
- The primary process that was most helpful was reading or listening to each part of the material presented here, (starting with Flatland), once a day for the entire month. It seems like it will be a long time to complete the entire process, approximately 2 years, but the almost daily new awarenesses, and the multiple paradigm shifts will undoubtedly be most remarkable to you, and more than worth your time and effort.
- At the conclusion of each month’s readings, writing a single page paper on how that month’s readings affected you will provide the greatest stability in your personal comprehension of the material, and will lead to the greatest number of “aha” moments, and most probably, several eureka moments. Remember, a paradigm shift can be quite unstabling at first, but it is in the writing about your new perspectives where you will find your footing in your new paradigms.
- What made our journey most enjoyable, was “traveling” in a group of two or more. The mutual discoveries, and even more so, the individual perspectives of others, gained from the same experience, turned out to be more enriching than going it alone. We met monthly (physically and through Zoom meetings) on the same day, to read our papers to the group. There was never any criticizing from those listening to each paper being presented, other than congratulating the reader on their individual progress and personal insights. This process enhanced our motivation to actually do the paper, and provided several rewards, in the form of insights we ourselves missed in, or never gained from the monthly reading. Going through this journey with others became an encouraging and motivating factor to not only “do it,” but to “stay the course,” through to the end.
- Some of us found it most helpful to listen to the part prescribed for each month, instead of reading it. We used an android app called @Voice Aloud Reader, which can be downloaded for free at the Google Play store, at the link below. The voice technology is amazing, with excellent clarity and intonations. With this app, you can select the manner of speech that most suits your listening pleasure. We used a male voice with an English accent, by going In the settings for the app @Voice Aloud Reader, and clicking “Change voice or language” option, and select the speech synthesis , Google, United Kingdom, en-gb-x-gbd-local, or try any others that your most comfortable with. Then you can adjust the pitch and speed of the reader.

If none of these tips seem helpful, just do it. And if you do, you will come out the other side of this journey a completely different person, simply because you will learn it is all about being. Consciousness evolution is being evolution.
